Program: Guest Speaker Dick Button! 10:30 to 11:30 am
You’re invited to join us for what is sure to be one of our best programs of the year! Our guest speaker will be Mr. Dick Button, Men’s Figure Skating Olympic Gold Medalist 1948 and 1952, Emmy Award-Winning Sports Analyst and Commentator and Author of “Push Dick’s Button.” Mr. Button is the owner of Ice Pond Farm, in North Salem, NY. His 50-acre property is one of the founding gardens in the Garden Conservancy’s Open Days program featuring an unusual mix of English Cottage Garden plants, a Bocce Court, Perennial Gardens, a Wildflower Walk, a Gazebo, Landscaped Pool areas, a Stone Bridge, beautiful old Apple Trees and, of course, Ice Pond.
In his presentation, Dick Button, weaves his love of figure skating with his story of the design and development of his own gardens. Mr. Button’s knowledge, wit and charm along with fabulous photos of his property have delighted garden clubs and all audiences who have had the good fortune to attend one of his programs.
