The Spring Plant & Tag Sale is one of the Rowayton Gardeners’ main fundraising events, and in 2013 had a profit of $6,700. The event included a successful raffle and a tag sale of slightly used garden tools, pots, books, etc. Available at the sale are a wonderful selection of perennials from the members’ gardens, annuals, hanging baskets, patio pots, and herbs. The profits from Rowayton Gardeners’ fundraising events permit the on “growing” care of the gardens in our village which include Bayley Beach, McKinley Triangle, Sammis St. Triangle, White Bridge Triangle, Community Center gardens, restoration of the School Pond and the Pinkney Park Flagpole garden. Members design, plant, and maintain these spaces.
Our 2014 sale will take place on Saturday, May 3rd, from 9 am to noon at Rowayton Community Center.
