For those of you not familiar with this fun town event, the Turkey Trot is entering it’s 4th year and gaining real momentum as a wonderful Thanksgiving Day running event. The race is run by a local group, Two Sneakers, a local running-focussed charitable group who donates all earnings from the race to different groups in town each year. This year they have selected The Historical Society as the main benefactor alongside the Rowayton Arts Center and The Rowayton Gardeners!
The group loves what we are doing for our community and would like to give thanks by sharing their Turkey Trot earnings with us.
In order to help them to orchestrate this very popular and ever-growing event, they will need volunteers to help with the following tasks:
- Registration table (8:30-9:30am) – 6 volunteers needed here.
- Merchandise Table (8:30-9:30am) – 4 volunteers need at this table.
- Race Course Helpers – 9-10:30am – 15 volunteers needed sprinkled along course to guide runners / walkers.
