The Rowayton Gardeners are calling all kids, ages 6-10 (accompanied by a parent/adult), to come to the Potting Shed for a fun and informative program on Monarchs and Milkweed. Alice Ely, master gardener and certified Monarch Habitat creator, is our areas ‘mother of Monarchs.’ Alice will show us, and tell us, how to create a healthy habitat for butterflies, and how to attract a bevy of Monarchs to our gardens.
WHAT: Milkweed Growing and Monarch Raising
WHEN: Tuesday, September 20th, from 4 PM to 5 PM
WHERE: The Potting Shed at the Rowayton Community Center
FEE: $20 for one child AND one adult.
Each additional family member is an extra $5/pp
Class size is limited to 24 total attendees. Registration begins on Thursday, September 1. Last day to register is Friday, September 16. Your place(s) in the program is/are not confirmed until you are registered and paid. There will be no refunds unless you spot can be filled from our waiting list. Further details and a reminder will be sent to paid registrants, a few days before the program.
