The Rowayton Gardeners’ Annual Spring Plant Sale fundraiser was held Saturday, May 2nd from 9 am to 1 pm at The Potting Shed (located behind the Rowayton Community Center at 33 Highland Avenue).
The plant sale showcased our freshly-dug perennials and shrubs just in time for spring planting. The majority of our beautiful plants had been dug with love from local properties by a dedicated team of Rowayton Gardeners. Shoppers found a sensational selection of zone-hardy natives, sun & shade-loving perennials and a wide-variety of annuals to help add color and structure to their gardens.
In addition, our experienced Gardeners designed creative patio pots of various sizes chock full of summer color to add flair to outdoor spaces. New this year was our Mother’s Day “boutique” where shoppers found garden-inspired gifts for everybody’s favorite lady. As always, Gardeners were available for consultation about the right plants for shoppers’ needs.
Our 3rd annual Tag Sale was a record-breaking success! As always, the tent was filled with garden treasures, tools and other fabulous useful and decorative finds.

This was not your run-of-the-mill Garden Sale… the Potting Shed delivered fun for gardeners of all ages! Kids enjoyed a nature-inspired craft or two, built fairy and gnome houses in our newly designed fairy garden, and visited with our new, furry farm friends from Eco Farm on Wheels (ecofarmonwheels.com).
The Rowayton Gardeners Club is a non profit 501 (c)(3) organization and all proceeds raised from this fundraiser will be used to continue maintenance and beautification of the organic gardens at Bayley Beach, the Rowayton Community Center, the Rowayton School Pond & Wetland, Pinkney Park, the Potting Shed and other areas transformed by the Club’s activities.
