The Gardeners “worksite crew” at the Community Center has been hard at work this summer despite the construction taking place for the new access road. Some plantings have been unavoidably disturbed, but all are being restored as the work progresses. Chair Phyllis Padro has kept up with the bulldozers and diggers, and recently took these photos of some of the beds.
The Club maintains several areas on the Library/Community Center property along the parking lot, around the flagpole, along the dog park, in the courtyard and surrounding the Library.
Speaking of construction, the Rowayton School expansion has kept walkers from fully enjoying the School Pond plantings, but the work will soon be done and the end of the rear path reopened. In the meantime, the plantings are lovely – truly an oasis in the heart of town.
