Transform your garden from winter weary to glorious spring! The Rowayton Gardeners’ Annual Spring Market is the perfect place for plants and ideas. Find perennials, annuals and more at this one-day event on Saturday, May 19th (rain or shine) from 10 AM to 1 PM. The 2018 Spring Market will be held at The Potting Shed, located behind the Community Center at 33 Highland Avenue in Rowayton.
Knowledgeable Rowayton Gardeners will be on hand to assist with your purchases of freshly dug perennials and shrubs, a sensational selection of zone-hardy natives, sun and shade loving perennials, a variety of colorful annuals and gorgeously curated planters.
We’ll be featuring a number of new offerings at the Spring Market, including scrumptious baked goods, great door prize drawings, a nature-inspired activity area for kids and a glorious greenhouse boutique filled with bird and bee houses, hanging baskets, garden ornaments and fragrant herb boxes for your porch or patio. In addition, we’ll have garden demonstrations: at 10:30 am, Lilly Langotsky will show us techniques for creating your own gorgeous planters and at 11 am, Sally and Kevin Tepas will give tips on how to make compost at home. Throughout the sale, our “Pesticide-Free Rowayton booth will be staffed – stop by and get information on how easy it is to go organic, view some of the top quality organic lawn and garden products available and pick up a coupon for their purchase at the Gardeners’ Center in Darien.
The Rowayton Gardeners Club is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. All proceeds from this fundraiser will be used to continue our maintenance and beautification projects and garden education and environmental initiatives in Rowayton. These projects include the organic gardens at Bayley Beach, the Rowayton Community Center, the Rowayton School Pond and Wetland, Pinkney Park, the Potting Shed, and other community gardens enhanced by the Club’s activities.
Make it your annual spring tradition to stop by the Spring Market on Saturday, May 19th, to support the Rowayton Gardeners. Your support helps make the Rowayton community a wonderful place to live and visit. Our special thanks to two event sponsors: Freddy’s Landscape Company and Laurel Road Bank.
