In collaboration with the Rowayton Library and Norwalk Land Trust, we will present an important forum at the Rowayton Community Center (33 Highland Avenue) on new ways to decrease the amount of waste that our community creates – join us on Wednesday, November 7th from 7 to 8:30 pm!
- Your questions about Norwalk’s new recycling guidelines will be answered
- You’ll find out how the global plastics market makes a difference to us here at home
- You will learn how other organizations have made an impact in recent months by significantly reducing the use of plastic straws and bags
- You’ll hear about the “Zero Waste” initiative that is taking hold in area schools, training our youngest consumers about the necessity of changing our habits
- You’ll learn about Darien’s efforts to promote alternative energy as the community ramps up its recycling and reusing drive.
- You’ll find out about a new way to dispose of with food waste that is clean, effortless and effective.
We CAN make a difference – come find out HOW! There is no fee to attend, but we ask that you register online at www.rowayton.org/recycle-revisited. Refreshments will be served. Please bring your own water bottle as we will have pitchers of water available.
