‘Nature Inspired Floral Design’ by Christine Bloom and Sarah Shaw, from Hedge, will entertain, inform, and delight us with their demonstrations of unique floral design using foraged and found items, along with beautiful floral elements. Floral creations by Hedge are based on Christine and Sarah’s shared natural aesthetics, which diverge refreshingly from conventional design. Although both received a classic training (Christine from NYBG, and Sarah from Flower School NY), they independently veered away from traditional pyramid shapes and complementary colors. Instead, they choose overlooked seasonal and local foliage to create natural looking arrangements that subtly blend shapes, textures, and colors. Christine and Sarah have a discerning eye for detail and they both value simplicity. Their unabated love for nature always leads the way in their designs.
