Just in time for “Farrell Day” that was celebrated throughout Rowayton in September, the Rowayton Gardeners spearheaded an effort to clean out the old potting shed and greenhouse behind Rowayton Library & Community Center. The transformation of these spaces was nothing short of spectacular and amazing, but even more importantly, the uses to which the building has been put ever since are fabulous! Classes, workshops, and meetings have drawn those of all ages to learn, plan and enjoy things like tree identifications, pumpkin carving, bulb planting, and more. Soccer Saturdays, Workshop Wednesdays, and Open Hours provided a full and exciting schedule that boosted community awareness and contributed to our mission to educate the community about horticulture and gardening.
