All members are invited – and encouraged – to attend our year-end meeting and luncheon on Thursday, June 1st, from 11 am to 1 pm at the Rowayton Community Center! We’ll celebrate our membership and its many volunteers, take a look at the past year’s accomplishments, and talk about the year to come.
Please RSVP to Stella Thomas (stella.m.thomas@gmail.com) to indicate what you will bring for the luncheon (your choice of a green salad, main salad, or dessert ready to serve on your platter with a serving utensil).
If you are attending the luncheon, please bring a check/cash for $40 with you (made out to Rowayton Gardeners) to renew your dues for 2017-18. If you are unable to attend, please send your check by June 30th to Lisa Shanahan, PO Box 164, Rowayton, CT 06853.
Much of the content of our yearbook, which in the past has been updated and reprinted in September, is now available on our website and the only piece that will continue to be circulated in hard copy is the membership list with photos and contact info. In an attempt to easily format this new directory, we are asking you to resubmit your photo (head and shoulders only, no hat or sunglasses please) taken by an i-Phone. For those of you who attend the luncheon, we will have someone available to take your photo. If you are unable to attend, we will make other arrangements to update your photo. You may also submit your new photo online.
One of the fun things about our Annual Meeting is a display of small (no larger than 5″ in any direction) arrangements from our gardens. This is not a competition, but we encourage everyone to join in! Find a fun container and add whatever flowers you choose.
