Fall Adult Program – Creative and Colorful Autumn Containers

Tuesday, September 26

10:00 am - 11:30 am

Summer is in our rearview mirrors, and if your container plants are looking a bit bedraggled then this hands-on workshop is for YOU! We’re thrilled to have Jenny Gazerro, who heads up the Floral and Fine Gardening division at Glengate Landscape Company, as our guest presenter. Jenny supervises the installation and maintenance of perennials, annuals, roses, and vegetable gardens. She and her team create and install seasonal containers, floral displays and holiday decor, both interior and exterior, for their discerning clientele. Rowayton Gardener Amy Tyson’s gorgeous seasonal containers, border beds and magical woodland garden plantings are designed and maintained by Jenny and her talented all-female crew.

This workshop is so much more than just plopping a few plants in a pot… Jenny will explain the how-to’s of creating a fall container that will be unique and lasting. You’ll glean great information on container selections, soil and fertilizer as well as receiving guidance on plant options, decorative additions, watering and maintenance. Jenny’s ability to take a container installation from ordinary to extraordinary will inspire you, plus you’ll receive helpful tips and recommendations throughout the program.

Attendees are asked to please provide your own container – no more than 14 inches in diameter. The soil, all plant material, decorative items, hands-on instruction, and refreshments are included.
